It's almost 4am now and i'm watching the music magazine from Mercedes-Benz.tv Mixed Tape. This month theme is SOUL. Last month was MODERN VINTAGE. With all the SOUL music videos by up-and-promising artistes and of course already-famous artistes, such as Beyonce, who is a Highlight for this month with her hit, Suga Mama.

Have been collecting their Mixed Tape's album collections since a few years back, from 01 to 18 and now to the current 19th. Not regretted any of their tracks ever since. For the day...
Have been working, 11am - 11pm. Hardcore huh... Was supposed to be released by 3.30pm today(SUN) but ALEX said he can't come to work as he has blisters and swollen feet, caused by his heels used for the competition yesterday(SAT). Unreluctantly took his shift, since he can't find any replacement. I'm a person who doesn't like to replace people's shift because for that day i'm already mentally prepared what time to knock off and stuff, and somemore this is so super last minute. It's not because i'm not friendly or don't wanna help. What to do? If i don't help out, it'll only be 2 staff working which is out of the question. Just let me grumble and whine for a few mintues-hours and i'll be over it. Haha. Well at least think of the bright side, i earned 66 bucks today.
Knocked off at 11.30pm because alot of guests came in last minute, for drinks though. S'pore Sling, Tigers, and even a few bottles of red wine. Everything was quite smooth except for an incident where BOON HWA(colleague) had to look for a guest in Rang Mahal(indian restaurant) after not paying for the bottle of red wine he orderd. That guest tried to 'escape' by either giving the wrong room number or giving the wrong name which doesn't tally with the room number at all. Come to 5-Star hotel to eat for free is it? He even acted pro but not pro when ordering the red wine.
During the afternoon, i chatted with an elderly couple who're from Ireland. They have travelled quite a few countries before landing in Singapore. Upon hearing that they're from Ireland, i asked them "I heard from somewhere that Irish language is one of the most difficult language to learn?" Back in their country, Irish language was their 2nd language and English was their 1st, so everyone still speaks English though. It was because of the colonisation of the British/English back those years. Then we continued chatting... When finally i returned to the bar, BOON asked "Ehh, your best friends ah?" Haha. They're nice great elderly folks ma...
During the night, there was a pax of 7 came to have a few drinks. When i served them ice water, one of the guys said "This is double vodka shots with water as mixer and ice cubes." I laughed, but not loudly though. Imagine i laugh loudly in front of them, i think they'll just be put off. I told them "Yup, this has special ingredients inside to make you sleep better." and i forgot what else i said.
Alright, it's 4.28am now. I seriously need the 'double vodka shots' to put me to sleep now.

SORRY BOYS & GIRLS! Lately i've been feeling lethargic after my work thus the absence of the posts. So i'm going to do them now.
MONDAY
Didn't do much. Just went to Great World City to find similar salt & pepper casing for BRUNCH since some are broken already. Went to quite alot of furniture(Molecule, Iwannagohome, and etc) shops and search for them. Can't find any similar ones so i went to ZARA instead. Haha. Managed to get a tee from there. Saw AUDREY & her colleague(i think). She's working as an administrative staff at one of the office buildings over there. Thought wouldn't see anyone familiar over there but i still did, despite all odds. Haha.
WEDNESDAY
Was supposed to go out with MEL(Wen Min) but due to unforseen circumstances, it was called off. Sigh. Was in the gym locker room wanting to go off already then tell me can't... Called GUAN last minute if he can accompany me to Orchard to buy my stuff & get KRISTEL's present. She's my ex-colleague, from Billy Bombers. What she wanted was a soft toy, a Winnie-the-Pooh soft toy. And she's 20! AIYO! GROW UP LAAAA... This day was the suay-est man... I went to deposit my pay($354) into UOB Cash Deposit Machine. Not noticing the note that disallows 2 dollar notes to be put in, i went ahead with the 2 bucks. In the end, after my i took my card out from the machine, the screen suddenly went "This CDM is temporarily Out Of Order." I was like, HUH?!?! WHAT THE?!?!?! MY 300++ BUCKS IS STILL STUCKED IN THE MACHINE! I panicked and even approach the security guard for help.
He told me to call the assistance hotline that appeared on the screen. Called, and all i got was a series of "For.... Please Press 1...... Please Press 2.... To speak to our officers, please press 0." I headed for "0" immediately and i still have to wait. No one was answering as all the officers were busy. Are they really that busy? Waited for almost 10 minutes - 20 mintues until someone finally took my call. During that duration i almost kept saying the infamous wordbut decided to use "FREAK" instead. Everything was settled when i received a call today(SAT) that they've already credited the amount to my account. So bought the soft toy, and gotten a GAP tee(39 bucks) and a FCUK tee(69 bucks). That French Connection tee was unique, it has pockets at the bottom of the tee so it acts like a jacket or what you wanna call it.
Today(SATURDAY)
When i told YU JING that i wanted to go shopping, she immediately "SET! ON!". Haha. What's worse is that she totally forgot that she has already planned to go out with her boyfriend. So she told him she was going out with her girl friend. What the hell... And so i became her 'girl friend' for a day, and at the end of the day i looked like a butler carrying so many shopping bags(mostly mine, Haha). If YU JING told her bf that she was going out with a guy, her bf would be more pissed off as he's a more possessive person and etc. I feel sad for her, always have to endure his scoldings/naggings and the lack of freedom. Sighh. This is why i'm not into relationship, yet. I'm a person who needs lots of freedom, and i mean A LOT.
So we set off to VIVO. Went to Armani Exchange and i managed to get a white undies for 39 bucks & a berms for 169 bucks so totalling to 208 bucks. Yes, i do spend alot, Alot, ALOT! I seriously need a financial planner. I just love white undies. Haha. Don't you? WHITE MIGHTY UNDIES TO THE RESCUE! Walked walked walked... Stopped at NewUrbanMale and got a dark grey tee which says "God is a dj Life is a dance floor & i'm a Party Boy". I liked the colour scheme and it looks abit vintage-gy to me, with the "80S" behind. 45 bucks, after discount.
Proceeded to Forever 21 and so YU JING got 2 clothing from there, a blue(abit of African Flavour) shirt & a green(simple) shirt from there. Told her to get one light grey colour dress with golden embroidery at the neck area there. She told me it was kinda ex since it was 60 bucks. See, my taste! I have an expensive taste. Haha!
Today was also ALEX's or BRITTANY's drag competition. Held at PLAY. YU JING accompanied me so we went there to support him. But never did i knew, i was denied entry. Simply, i was under 18. "Aiya, a few more days only... be more flexible la..." I tried to say that to the female bouncer but still couldn't. "Alright then, i understand. You're just doing your job." So we had no choice but to give it a miss.
Went to a nearby vintage + sleek restaurant/bar to have our dinner. The ambience was fantastic. Jazz music filled the place, with the decor and everything it was simply astounding! Broth, Bar Restaurant On The Hill. This is the place to be! Of course what's even more 'alluring' was the price of the food. Main course going at 30+ bucks, it was rather expected. I ordered this awesome dish - Truffle Poached Chicken Breast w Spring Vegetables, Tarragon Butter & Veal Sausage. And this is at 34 bucks. YU JING ordered some fishy dish and costs 36 bucks. After our main course, we shared the desert - Rich Belgian Chocolate w Port Wine Cherries, for 15.50 bucks. The cherries weren't like any cherries outside, they were addictive(probably it's the wine that made me feel that way) I'm not a cherry-eater kinda person but this cherry simply gotten me all addictive! What's more, the rich chocolate was simply heavenly. The moment it enters your mouth, it's just melts... What can i say Belgium chocolates are one of the best in the world, don't play play ah, i sell chocolates before so i know.
Total amounting to 85.50 bucks. OMG! THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE MEAL I'VE EVER EATEN TILL DATE! But they don't charge Service Charge & they absorb GST. Isn't that great? But we voluntarily tipped them. So instead of paying 85.50 bucks, i wrote down 90 bucks. Must tip them ma, keep refilling my drink for umpteen times until i visted the restroom twice... Haha. The awards that they've earned/claimed caught my eyes when we were leaving the bar restaurant. So after all, it's all worth it.
But then THIS IS THE DAY WHERE I SPENT THE MOST! A total of 298 bucks(only for today) were charged to my Debit card. Including the recent things i've bought, total amounting to around 450++ bucks. There goes my salary, and i still need to take out my reserves. It's worth it, it's worth it! And i'm not consoling myself, seriously...

Yes, i know i know. I know that i've not been updating these past few days and i have the 'PERFECT' reason, or excuse if you want it to be. I've been working till 11pm the past few days and when i got home, i'm just dead beat! And mind you, it's long hours. It's either 3-11pm or 12-11pm. What's more today our restaurant is having Easter Day promotion so the night before we were busy preparing like hell. Moving 16 oblong(long) tables, 40 chairs, 15 XL cloth, 20 sets of salt & pepper, all from 1st level to 4th level. And the staff lifts in Pan Pacific can't be any lousier. Using our brains & strength to maneuver those stuff. Of course we had to arrange those chairs & tables according to the blueprint for Easter Day.
Along with the chaotic waves of kids running about, more-than troublesome parents, typical easter day'schildren activites, everything was still a success no doubt. HURRAY! But I just simply cannot stand how kids eat. Their food seems to be flying about though their parents are there. After the whole 'war', the floor was dirty and that screams "ALAMAK!" for those cleaners. Poor them. Haha.
Well, SAT i got to meet 2 gorgeous beauties BUT there were some rude impolite guests too. Know who i met?

CHERYL FOX! Not any other foxes but CHERYL FOX! Don't play play uh! I was the host at that time so i ushered her and her boyfriend(a black, not sure what race/nationality though) in. Talked to her, told them the concept & what's going on for that period. At first i didn't know that was CHERYL until that all-seemed-too-familiar accent/voice of hers came out then my eyes lit up! With her long reddish-maroonish hair, sweet & absolute clarity of her voice, i was captivated. Haha. Not long before i finished my 'preaching'(that's my job) they asked me, "Thanks alot. Is there a Japanese restaurant nearby?" I simply -_-"... Never mind, i just showed them the way to Keyaki(that Japanese restaurant) on the same level though. After that i jumped around and told everyone i saw CHERYL FOX! Haha! Excited mah... Didn't see and talk to her before what...
Right now, having a mixed blood/different race/nationality as your life-long partner is a trend now or should i say, a norm. Most offsprings that i've seen(till now) are all very good-looking, very pretty/handsome. Hmm... my eyes are already set in that direction. Haha!

Continue... When i walked to the bar counter, i thought i saw PARIS HILTON. I gave a second look. Cropped blonde hair, dark-brown large shades on, crossing her legs lusciously(isn't she famous for her lust? Haha) it seems that all falls under the category of PARIS HILTON. Went back to my place for host and then there came a couple.
Me: "Yes, how may i help you?"
Them: "Yes, we're looking for someone."
Her: "A blonde hair."
then walks walks walks...(with me bringing them in)
Me: "Is she the one?"(pointing the 'PARIS HILTON')
Her: "Yes."
Me: "Oh... Pardon me for saying this. She really looks like Paris Hilton from far."
Me & Them(laughs)
Her: "I'll tell her that."
(continue laughing) and walks away.
To my horror, after 'PARIS HILTON' took off her shades, it was totally 2 different person.
Impolite guests
I don't know whether i have any grudges with Indians or mine & their ba zhi bu her(8 characters don't match). There was a group of rich bastards(male) who kept giving me that i-don't-care-how-much-it-is attitude. When i presented them the bill(which amounted to S$300++), they just put the card on the billholder without even looking. Faster get your arses out, don't wanna see your freaking loathsome act rich faces!
Different scenario.
The other was a female indian guest. She was in a group of about 13 people. I asked the group whether are they ready to be served the bbq items then she asked me: "Or you like rushing us?" I immediately & profusely said: "No no no..." Partially it's my fault cause that's the 2nd time i've asked them and partly also the chefs wanna serve out the food already so it's better to prepare as a whole, for other guests having bbq as well. So i had no choice but to ask. And the 3rd time i came back, i told that female indian guest: "If you're ready, just approach me or any of the staff." Then she went on to proceed asking the group(rolling her eyes at me) and the group said okay so i went to tell the chefs(with her HUGE eyes rolling at me again to continue her conversation). You think you have big eyes i scared ah! Gorge out your eyeballs then you know ah!
That night i also encountered a couple who're hearing impaired, deaf. The moment i ushered them in, the wife told me that they're deaf. Knowing that i couldn't do much and i wouldn't be able to understand what they're mouthing-the-words to me, i took out my order chit and wrote down what i & they wanted to say. After about 10-15 mins, i showed my hands to the direction of the seats(offering them to have a seat first then it'd be easier). From there i communicated with them once again with the help of the pen & paper. It all seems so ancient now. Occasionally using my lousy hand communications/signals, they understood abit. Haha. Pathetic me. They had a misunderstanding with the receptionist saying that since they're staying on the Executive Level, they don't need to pay wherever they dine at the hotel. VANESSA then proceeded to call the Duty Manager to come up and clear up the air. And then i went back to my host. After 15 mins or so the Duty Manager came and told me everything has been cleared, we both laughed. Haha.
Other than that, everything is alright just that i had a long day today. Easter Day gotten all the staff exhausted. It was chaotic, but well controlled.
Right now i'm listening to 表白 by 萧亚轩. When i'm listening to the song, the scene whereby SAN SAN(my colleague) kept doing the hands pointing left right left right(imitating 萧亚轩 dance moves) and kept singing "不知道不知道 为什么对你说 喜欢你说不出口 好想跟你表白" I don't care whether the guests were looking at me or what, i just had a big laugh! It was absolutely hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing to myself upon listening to the song, even if it's repeating. The scene of her doing those stuff just kept replaying. Haha! She's really adorable.

It's my off day today again, but tomorrow onwards i'll be working till SAT starting as early as 12pm ending at 11pm. SUN lesser man-hours needed to clock in, start at 11am end at 6pm.
Went all the way to Buona Vista to collect my O Level private candidate certificate. Acted as a proxy for SI JIE cause she don't wanna go all the way to MOE. Haha. Thought if i had the chance i could bump into MRS TAN(ex Science teacher in BG) or MR BENJAMIN TAN(ex P.E teacher in BG too). Still remember how MRS TAN tortured us into copying the whole specific science chapter twice i think. Our pen inks sure went dead really fast on us. However she's a fantastic teacher, i would say. I'd always look forward to her lessons. She can be very cheerpy or even crack jokes with you but when she's serious, she's really stern and no no giggles and she means it.
Took less than 10 mintues before it was my turn to collect the cert. It was past 5pm. AHH SO LATE ALREADY! I mean i can't go for workout already and what's more i didn't bring along my workout outfit. Actually thought of, aiya just wear what i'm wearing don't bother about the outfit. But then it's already so late and i don't wanna go home late(thus having a very late dinner) and ususally there're alot of people around at that time.
When i was on the train, i saw this malay lady who looks abit like Janet Jackson, not bad features. Unlike Michael Jackson, nose wanna drop but like hanging there till its last breath. Arabic females have very nice features too! They're very beautiful, even the kids. Curled long bushy lashes, big eyes, nice sharp distinct features. Yesterday i told MEL about that. And you know what she said? "Aiya, there's war last time in their country so the ang mohs rape them that's why their features are that nice."-_-" What the hell.
But never mind, arabic females are still very beautiful. It seems like i'm attracted to exotic flavours. Haha. Raffles Place Mrt Station, where all the economy chart striven people boarded the train. And this lady caught my eyes. She has this poise, elegance poise. She looks like a taiwanese celebrity, but not sure what's the name. Abit chubby though. Sporting a black DKNY blouse, black knee-length tights(which is quite fashionable now) and a purple & red heels(Yves Saint Laurent meets Shanghai Tang kinda design). It's all about fashion. Fashionably March! Alighting at the same stop Somerset, i was walking behind her(not stalking) till i caught up and walked faster as i'm in a rush.
What can i say, i simply love observing people!
Headed to have my tan at Cine. Have a change of lotion. This time it was, Dangerously Tan. Cause i told him my arms seemed not to be tanned. When ZEPH took out the "Dangerously Tan" lotion and said it out, we laughed. Haha. Louis Khoo meh... It's thriple bronzer. THRIPLE BRONZER MAN!
I'm getting abit itchy all over already. Though i've already applied aloe vera. Gotta let my organs rest and let the detoxification process begin and have to abide a strict sleep regime. NO MORE SLEEPING AT 4AM! RIGHT MEL?
<-- Taken during a trip to Paris, family vacation. The previous day i asked my French Manager(FRANCK) to coach me French language. Haha. What audacity i have! But i treat him as a friend so i don't care. He's the manager of 3 restaurants in Pan Pacific Hotel. I wanna learn French language is partly because if in the future i have the capabilities i would like to call Paris my 2nd home. The old colonial buildings just call out to you to leave the buzz of modern highly technological-fied society and befriends with the romantic yet full of inspirations country.
Alright after calling FRANKIE about the guest's reservation and telling him what happened, i feel more at ease cause he said it's a small case and he'll call him up and reconfirm everything. PHEW! At last i wouldn't feel that tensed and worried anymore.

Suppose to watch these 2 movies today but since August Rush's timeslot and location of the cinema sucked horrendously, MEL(WEN MIN) & I decided to postpone it. And ALEX's(colleague) prepaid 'emptied', i think since i can't contact him at all, so i can't tell him where to meet & stuff. Was so fed up. Never mind...
So MEL and i decided just to meet up, as promised, at Changi Airport T3. I don't know what's so great about Popeye's but what you see on the photo SERIOUSLY ISN'T what you gonna get. They're bloody cheaters, of your money and feelings. Just think carefully, is Popeye's worth it? But still had that for dinner since MEL wanna try. And the counter person who served us literally looked like this tech whiz from the movie, The Italian Job.
We chatted alot almost everything & anything under the sun. From metrosexuality/homosexuality - tabloids, tampons - really explicit stuff, personal life - work life, and etc. And i have just found out in Dictionary.com, they describe metrosexual, or should i say LINK, to being similar to homosexual males. "Errr... Hmmm..." Not that i don't know what's the meaning of metrosexual but i didn't know it's being linked with homosexual males. Alright then if that's the case...
MEL and i basically have no restricted topics and she's quite open, and that's what i like about hanging out with her. We're frank with each other & etc. A great person to always hang out with.

She left at 8/9+ to send off a friend and we finally meet up at like 11+. Wow... this is how she treat me after my last outing with her 3 months ago. But never mind, i get to explore the newly opened T3 abit(but spent more time stoning) and found out that there're alot of JC students going overseas. Exchange programes? Then saw a dad saying prayers to his daughter, with mum, dad, daughter in a circle head facing down. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Passed by a group of Japanese students and their cheeks are like super rosy. Haha. Became a 'freelance' photographer when this japanese ma cik(aunty in malay) asked me to take a photo of her with 2 other people(relatives/friends).
Bade MEL goodbye with a goodbye kiss(haha, as if) then i made way to my bus Berth at Bedok Interchange, and that's when i saw LU CHUAN. Catch up abit then he suddenly tell him he's not yet 18, then he looked at his watch(12am on the dot) and say that he's finally 18. I HAD A SHOCK! I WAS LIKE, HUH? YOU SURE ANOT? He even let me see his IC and no kidding... 20th March 1990. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was so sudden and random... Haha. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LU LU!

Life is scary, full of spontanous surprises, awaiting for you to chua tio and see how you apprehend & react to circumstances/situations.
I was placed in bar and i know i SUCKED terribly at it cause i know i'm only confident doing service and standing as host. But still, VANESSA put me at bar to pick up the ropes and build up my confidence level in bar. Well she had her good intentions, and i too need to learn. After all, i'm a senior there so i need to be one and not be embarrassed by juniors.
Starting it was okay, with a couple of Tiger drafts, juices and a Virgin Pina Colada(even my junior had to tell me what ingredients were needed to put into the blender but then she work more days than me and she's frequently placed in bar). Then came to night where a group of elderly(4 pax) asked for drinks. Hot Chocolate, Tiger, 2 Cafe Lattes. 1st two were easy to make but it's the latte that bothered me alot! Those lattes that i've made were the MOST UGLIEST ones i've ever seen in my life! After that, the guests returned the lattes saying that the lattes are cold. I think i left the foamed milk to rest in the glass for too long already, and the worst thing is there's no foam, mostly liquid milk. In the end, i had to seek help from SAN SAN(attachment who's from Myanmar, my junior) and her lattes are simply AWESOME! They're absolutly the real deal!
Shame on me man, shame on me... I ought to kick myself in the arse real hard & find a shell to hide!
And the day was further made worst and it's about a guest's reservation. I picked the call and took the reservation details from the guest who is coming around at 1pm SAT, and i think the guest is having ala carte food. What i totally forgot was that we're(BRUNCH) is having BBQ Lunch on that day(SAT)! I really think i've gotten early dementia, FRANKIE is right to call me lao ren.
After realising that we have that BBQ Lunch, i immediately called back to the guest. Umpteen times but no answer. DIE LA DIE LE LA. So after work, i immediately msged WEI XIN(colleague, senior) asking her if she knows the starting time of the BBQ Lunch, but no response think she's asleep already as it was past 12am. And i msged FRANKIE(assistant manager) if i could call him on the phone cause it'd be easier to explain things rather by smsing. Around 1.30am he replied "Wat u want?? Sms will do, wat's so urgent?!!" Upon seeing the "Wat u want??" my heart sank even deeper... Sighh, what to do, it's my fault what... Think he's turning in already and i actually 'disturbed' him. I'm sorry, but i guess i'm a born-worrier and wouldn't rest-in-peace if everything's not done properly.
Till now, i'm still thinking/worrying about what if the guest is angry(cause it's for 4pax)? What if the chefs are angry(cause they have to do the ala carte & bbq)? What if the guests wanna complain? What if(s).....
Sighh, right now what i can HOPE for is that, either the guest is willing to have the BBQ Lunch at 55++/adult or the starting of the BBQ lunch is at a much later time(2.30pm). Tomorrow i'm gonna ask FRANKIE to call that guest up and explain to him the details again, as i'm not working so i can't.
Somtimes, i just feel like firing myself... Sometimes i just feel that i'm not right for this job... Sometimes i just feel that i'm always a junior, a newbie, never a senior...
So today's mine 2nd tanning session at Fabulous Tan. Though their facilities weren't that fabulous, besides the tanning machines, the tan i get i HOPE will be fabulous. After the session, i asked ZEPH(tanning consultant who served me last time) how come after tanning the skincolour of my stomach isn't the same as my forearms. He consulted BERNARD(General Manager) and he told me that maybe my face has more 'colours' than my stomach area when i came in previously, thus the result. When i turn up for work tomorrow, VANESSA & FRANKIE are bound to be shocked! Haha. I'm just wondering if will i keep on using my work uniform to fan myself at work tomorrow.
After workout, i went to Cineleisure for the tan. And on my way to the entrance of Cine, i saw RENFRED and his girlfriend(i think). NO BIG DEAL SEEING RENFRED. He's just any typical guy on the streets just that maybe his status has been elevated due to his Campus Superstar fame. If it was Felicia Chin, it would be a total difference!
It was around 7pm before i decided to take the MRT, though i'll always take bus service 65 from outside Lucky Plaza, cause i know there wouldn't be any space for me to stone in the bus. Haha, now i love taking long bus rides cause i can stone/sleep on the bus like i do in bus 168 to school, right MAVIS? I was horrified, i was squeezed like colgate from the tube, i was literally shuffed like nobody's business. It was the WRONG time to take the MRT! I thought, well it's not gonna be that bad, but i was wrong... Peak hours = NEVER EVER TAKE THE MRT! Sighh, what to do? Only to blame myself. Stood there motionless for like 20+ minutes finally i can move a tiny winy bit.
Alright, gotta go and rest now for work tomorrow at 12pm.
YESH! TOMATOES!IT'S GOOD FOR REDUCING SUNBURNS, well i mean eating/munching tomatoes frequently and your sunburns wouldn't be that severe.
It's shown on SAT(approx. 1pm?) "Documentary of the Week - Truth about Food", aired on Channel News Asia. And if you want to know more about what food can bring tremendous benefits to your body, this is THE documentary to watch!
I didn't know that tomatoes had such effect on your body until i watched it. Tomatoes actually tackle the free radicals(seem to be bad) that attacks our genetic information & etc in our body and tomatoes can be used to fend them off thus for some proven scientific reasons, it's able to tackle the UV rays and reduce the severity of sunburns. I thought tomatoes had only healing effects, like having good complexions? Since i'm more prone to sunburns when i'm 'over-cooked', my menu consists of TOMATOES now. To be precise, my supper(after work - 11pm, i can get real hungry) will be cherry tomatoes and only that. Cherry tomatoes can be used for snacks too. So if you people want to have a good & healthy supper/snack, give cherry tomatoes a pop.
Next up it's Spinach. Haven't you always been watching Popeye popping the spinach into his mouth and getting all strong? Well, they didn't associate spinach with STRENGTH though, BUT with improving memory. Yes, spinach can improve your memory, but insignificant enough to be considered scientifically proven. So for lao ren(elderly) like me who suffers from short term memory or even early dementia, you might want to try spinach. HOWEVER spinach would not be in my menu cause spinach is not my kind of greens. Perhaps someday?
Finally, it's all about red wine. It has been proven that red wine does help reducing your chances of getting cardiovascular disease(heart disease). Red wine has been compared alongside with Vodka & Grape wine. And of course red wine has a more significant result. Don't be amazed that Vodka does help too. French people drink ALOT of red wine at the same time consume alot of meat however it's proven that they have a lesser risk of getting heart disease. So consider taking red wine in moderation, like once per day/meal? "Waiteress, give me a glass of Saltram Maker's Cabernet Sauvignon please."

Speaking about French people... Does a man even give the other man a kiss on the cheek as a form of greeting? Cause the other day at BRUNCH when i'm standing host i saw this male pilot(i suppose from his uniform) doing that greeting to another male guest. So i was like, EYES BIG BIG with QUESTIONMARKS POPPING ON MY HEAD. Well this is what we call, culture shock! I'm guessing the pilot is from AirFrance since he said "Merci", which means Thank You in French. Hmmm... now i know why France is a romance country.
And yesterday(SUN) i don't know why my this FRENCH Manager, with the name of FRANCK DELEN, has been super good to us. Buying Macdonalds for the whole staff. I think he personally dropped by Marina Square's Macdonald. I was shocked when he asked me what i want from Macs, of course with his strong french accent i managed to figure out what he's trying to say. He's a good guy, seemed to me but my assistant managers think otherwise. FRI when i was standing as host, he even came up with his skateboard and said hi to me and asked me how BRUNCH is copping and whether was there a lack of manpower, cause that day was super duper full house. And of course he's in his causals, not in his suit. He's VERY TALL but quite skinny. When i talk to him, i need to tilt my head. Same goes to my colleagues and assistant managers too. Haha!
What the most heart-warming incident happened on that day was, there's this family with 2 kids and when they exited the entrance(of BRUNCH) where i was standing host at, i said "Bye Bye" & waved to them then this kid said "God Bless You!" and without hesistant i said the same to the kid too! I just felt very delighted and my heart really felt very good when he said it to me and i returned it back to him. It's just feels that you will go "Awww..." at the sight of it... Haha, i'm thinking too much. But it's really something different when an adult said it to you as compared to a kid. The parents even smiled at me upon the kid saying that. It goes to show how well has the kid been brought up.
<-- Taken during Year 2006's Christmas season. It was a gigantic man-made tree at Mount Faber. It was so tall that it made/broke some records that i'm not so sure of. Shook the camera to get this desired effect. Already made plans to go gyming today but looking at the time i left house and knowing that i'm working at 6pm. I know i wouldn't have the time to gym already since if i wanna gym i would gym for at least 1 hour. Besides, i'm going to collect my pay too, which is also at Pan Pacific.
So instead i went for tanning, indoor sun-tanning that is, at Cineleisure. Fabulous Tan. I took one of their packages that they have, of student rate which means i have to pay 180bucks(excluding the tanning lotion sachet). And so that was my virgin session and the experience was relatively alright. Just that the tanning consultant(Zeph Chong, Marketing Manager) who served me asked if i have any problems applying the lotion on my back and he could offer his help. So i thought to myself "Errrr...." Immediately i said: "Nah, it's alright. I can do it myself. Thanks!" One sight and you can tell that he isn't straight. Wanted to approach for Apple Wu(another tanning consultant whom i approached to look at the packages last time) instead but she wasn't there at the moment.
Everything went smoothly only the thought/scene in Final Destination 3 let me have thoughts lingering whether will i ______ in there or what... CHOY!!! And of course i suntanned with my Calvin Klein's on. So now i'm like sectioned into 3 parts; Upper body red, Private areas(covered) normal colour; and Lower body red. My face is RED too, macham lobster sia! On my way to Pan Pacific, i came across 2 typical male models, in the MRT, with the likes of Jon Johnson's(Manhunt previously) facial features & hair. One of the models even had his jacket unzipped right to the bottom with no tee underneath, thus bearing it all(ripped of course). The communters were simply darting the sight! Haha. They're like 1 head & probably few inches taller than me? Felt like a norbit when i walked pass them...
Tonight's work wasn't that busy. As usual i was the host for the BBQ dinner. With not many guests, we ended quite early, rather on time though.
When i reached home, NewUrbanMale.com has finally sent me the membership card. 3 months, and this is how LONG they took. WHAT'S MORE THEY EVEN GOT MY NAME WRONGLY! Since when did Esmond became Edmond? Didn't i clearly written my name down in the form? I bought 2 tees(both for female birthday presents amounting to 90+bucks) so i just need to pay 10bucks for the card. Sighh, can't possibly ask them to change the name or else IT WOULD TAKE ANOTHER 3 LONG MONTHS!
Sighh, i think i need to change my name. It's either my name is TOO UNIQUE or people are just too baffled with the name ESMOND. Whenever i tell people my name, they'll repeat saying Desmond/Edmund or some other 'mond/mund' behind. I think i change my name to ASSMOND better. Like this, i wouldn't be afriad that there'll be people calling my name wrongly.

With the up-and-coming trip to Sentosa next week, i don't know whether will it be a success or would i even be present for the trip. Cause now BRUNCH is short of manpower and with EASTER Day around the corner(23rd March) we'll be having quite alot of BBQs(which = more staff required). BBQ dinner on FRI, BBQ lunch & dinner on SAT, and BBQ lunch on SUN with some children activites. With these coming right up, how am i suppose to handle my numerous commitments? My own schedule and work swarming in, with so many things clashing in my way, how am i going to fulfil each and every one of them? Sighh... It's a tough one... HOW NOW BROWN COW?
Not supposed to work today but ALEX(my bestest colleague in BRUNCH) called me to replace his shift from 3-11pm cause his ah ma injuried her wrist thus became swollen and caused immobility, therefore he has to take her to get a jab. WHAT A FILIAL GRANDSON! But then that also means my plans for the day has been clashed too, since i woke up at 2.25pm and working at 6pm. I clocked in at 6pm instead cause i can't possibly rush down for the 3pm shift knowing the timing that i gotten up from bed.
Today wasn't that busy but there were a few of guests who DECIDED to have their fill when we're preparing for closing already. Some ordered CLUB SANDWICHES, some ordered BRUNCH's favourite WOOD-FIRED PIZZA, some just had TIGER BEERS(cause the kitchen was closing when they came in, too late too bad). But then with ME(haha, buay hiao bai) around, everything is well taken care of! In the admist of working, ROY(steward in-charge of washing dishes, cups & glasses, putting everything back to place & etc) and i decided to scavenge for food cause we're too hungry! WE'RE REALLY MACHAM SCANVENGERS SCAVENGING FOR LEFTOVER FOOD LEFT BY THE GUESTS! At that point of time i just felt that i'm just one of the poor thousands or even millions in 3rd world countries that usually starve... How sad is the scene where you'd just picture a small scrawny frame kid scavenging for food everywhere he/she could find, be it the rubbish dumpsites & etc.
I'm just simple too picky with food, that's too bad for me. Was supposed to have dinner at Pan Pacific canteen(where staff would have their breakfast/lunch/dinner), but upon seeing the 'spread', i was literally switched off. There's nothing suitable for me, or i just dislike those food. It's either spicy or looks very foreign to me. Thus i had no choice but to eat some strands of beehoon, but then it's aweful too... So dry & almost tasteless...

Just to tell you, i have found a potential MODEL! And that's a CAT, a stray cat i supposed. My brother names her NANCY(for don't know what reasons). But this cat has attitude man! She(i think) doesn't even look/bother at you when you try to shoo it. Doesn't care you when you walks towards or near it. She's just ain't afraid of humans.

Supposed to clock in(work) at 3pm but after receiving VANESSA's call asking me to come in at 6pm instead. Nonetheless, i woke up at 11+am, only to find out glueing to the laptop screen, doing my stuff, until 2+pm before i decide to brush my teeth. GROSS i know you're screaming! Haha. Yea, but i don't have the habit of brushing my teeth right after i wake up.
It has been raining pigeon-shits and crow-shits(my invention) on and offand thus kept nua-ing at home to wait for my the time to get prepared to go for work. Since it was raining so heavily, i asked my dad to fetch me there and he didn't hesitate! THANKS DAD! I think on the way he will pick my mum up from work too.
Nothing much happened. Cheryl and some other directors and managers came to BRUNCH to have a drink. Remember Cheryl that i talked about in the previous post? Yea, she's beautiful but all my colleagues and even assistant manager calls her a BITCH. WEI XIN told me that, although she looks refined and stuff, but she'll sort of back-stab you or commit something despicably. Still remember she drank quite a few glasses of Villa Maria(Sauvignon Blanc). Today isn't as busy as what FRANKIE described the previous day to be. PHEW... Or else, you wouldn't see me blogging now. I'd be dreaming about being a millionaire now and how to spend my ill-gotten gains... Haha!
Now i really feel working in an FNB line(mostly in restaurnts that is) you'll get fat very easy. With the leftover food(that the chefs prepared too much) we get to have our supper easily satisfied. OH MAN OH MAN!!! AND I EAT QUITE A FEW SIEW-MAI(S)!!! OHH MAN! SINFUL SUPPER!
STUPID FRANKIE kept saying that i'm white, and say until macham going to market buying white chicken! From secondary school till now i've been labelled FAIR MAIDEN, WHITE GHOST, WHITE CHICKEN and etc. ARGHH! I had enough! And i would make sure i will get tanned before i start my school term! ARGHH! Of course get tanned and stop at the right tanned colour, not get overly tanned, just like GUAN! Haha.

Alright, yesterday there's nothing much interesting going on. Worked afternoon shift 12pm yesterday, had set lunch American Express with 30pax. Luckily i wasn't in-charge of that luncheon but i'm doing the ala-carte service at the other station which also has quite a few guests. They're mostly ang mohs so they're quite friendly. One elderly(female) even had Shiraz(red wine) in the morning. So do having red wine in the morning gives you the vibe/energy to continue the day's 'adventure'? Hmmm...
Supposed to work till 11pm cause i'm replacing WEI XIN's(colleague & distant cousin) shift but FRANKIE asked me to leave at 5pm. Sighh... I can earn up till 60bucks that day, but leaving at 5pm = pathetic 27bucks.No choice cause he received an email from Finance department, i think, asking him to cut casual labor(part-timers) hours as the casual labor cost is rather high. Might be going to FRANKIE's house to play POOL next week. Not bad huh... Got POOL TABLE leh... Is 10,000 BC(movie) nice? Cause VANESSA asks me to watch it with her. But when i watched the trailer, it wasn't that nice... So yea... Besides i'm saving up to buy more things! =) Has been eyeing on that Ray Ban's shades for 200+ bucks. It's aviators. But don't know whether it's worth it to buy that expensive shades anot.
So reached home and nothing unusual happened. Except for the usual naggings from my mum! Always bring up the usual topics and the old stuff...SIGHH!!!And worse still, my sickening neighbour, who stays just below my unit, smokes in the middle of the night! MOREOVER, THE SMOKE SMELL LINGERS TO MY ROOM WHICH IS DIRECTLY ABOVE HIS ROOM! ARGH!!! Those who knows me should know how much i detest the smell of smoke, cigarette smoke that is! I did not have a choice but to use my deodorant spray to literally spray my whole room in order to cover the smell, at LEAST it'd smell better! My mum has already told the neighbour(the mum) to tell the culprit not to smoke in the middle of the night before, but after a few weeks, THE SON/HUSBAND STILL CONTINUES TO SMOKE! INFURIATING! WHAT'S MORE I can even smell CAT'S URINE which is of course from their unit cause they keep cats. WHAT THE HELL! IF YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THE BASIC PRINCIPLE OF RESPONSIBILITY, JUST GO TO HELL NEH NEH PORKS!!! and it's not occuring the first time, it's UMPTEEN TIMES!
Sighh, random abit... Ohh yea, i still remembered there was this very comely babe who caught my eyes! Hair cut in a very 'bob' style, quite Victoria Beckham. Wears braces, very compatible with GUAN haha. That day we were at T3 Popeyes having dinner cuase i had an appointment with him about my blog. Nono, she's no UGLY BETTY, she's BEAUTIFUL BETTY! Only then to realise that oh, she might be a lesbian with her butch friend(no offence though), who happens to be queueing up for food for herself and her friend, while the braces-babe continues with her Suduko. Is Suduko the IN thing now? Cause even some of the guests(ang mohs) who comes to BRUNCH also carries Suduko. I'd rather read a book by the poolside or sit on the comfy couch at the restaurant, just like what most of the ang mohs do at the poolside everytime when i stroll up to the poolside to ask them if they want any drinks/food...
Speaking about pretty babe, i saw this rather pretty associate(some manager, i think) from don't-know which department. Her name is Cheryl. She articulates well, tall, lean and wears a brown bikini. Haha. Not ji-ko-peh la... Just that i 'happened' to approach her when she's sunbathing by the poolside, asking her if she wants any food/drinks. Well, i would say ang mohs are more daring. Even the elderly(female) would slip off the strap of the bikini off the shoulders and just cover the 'fleshy' top, if you know what i mean. It's a common sight. But sorry, i don't do peek-a-boob uh!

It's been a cold, wet and very humid day. Mum left early for work thus leaving me, my brother and my dad at home. Dad bought lunch for us and left for work at around 2+PM. Acutally today i have a big plan to carry out, not really a big one though... And this needs me to travel from one side of the island to another. But since i finally got out of the house at 4.15PM, i couldn't do much which i'll explain later why...
First and foremost! I need to make a passport-size photo for my replacement of ez-link card and for the renewing the passport. Went to the adjacent neighbourhood, only to realise that the printing photo shop has closed down already. DAMN IT! Waste my time walking there or else i would be able to catch bus service 21 to Pasir Ris to make the replacement of my ez-link card.
Never mind... No choice but to travel to Whitesands to make the photo, and it costs me 8 bucks for 4 pieces. Is it a rip-off or what? Went to the Ez-Link Card Replacement Office and took me 20 minutes before i can get my card on the spot. Next stop would be visiting the Ticketing Office to get my lost ez-link card refund back. A total of $47.20 is what i've gotten from the refund.
Seeing it was 5.20PM already, i see no point in travelling to Bunoa Vista and get my private certificate from MOE, since the opearting hours is only till 1800hrs(6PM). Yeah, i retook English and i improved from a C6 to a not so satisfying B4. Took a long bus ride back to Tampines area before visiting the dermatologist's clinic which is opposite of Temasek Polytechnic. Stoned in the bus because i've already used to taking 168 to school which is like a treacherous1hr journey(approx)!
In the clinic there was a slight scene caused. This middle-aged auntie came in after the limit of patients for the day has been met. 5o OKAY! 5O PATIENTS OKAY! Yes, the queue started very long before the clinic opens for business. And 5o patients can easily set you back to get your appointment like at 12++ or 1++AM! I also don't know how are the clinic's assistants able to handle this almost everyday. Ok back to the scene...
The auntie raised up her voice and asked the clinic assistant: "How could you say that the clinic is closed already! You didn't even pulled down the shutters(the front entrance)!"
Then the clinic assistant rebutted: "If i pulled down the shutters, how come customers come in to buy medicine?"
And she even pointed the 'Close' sign at the counter and she continued to do her work totally ignoring the blabbering auntie, i think the auntie didn't notice the 'Close' sign which was obviously infront of her. Oh yea, there're 2 types of people who visits the clinic. Either to buy medicine(which needs much much lesser time queueing) or visiting the doctor. I think the assistant's name is Corrine. NICE ONE MAN CORRINE! The auntie had no choice but to leave the clinic. She must be really upset and infuriated. When i left i saw her shouting on the phone...
When i'm done purchasing what i need from the clinic, it started to drizzle quite heavily. Before that it was just a slight drizzle. No choice but to use my Crumpler bag to shield me from the passel of raindrops. But however it wasn't of any use since it's not helping that much either. I'm not like Donkey, in Shrek, which claims to 'melt' in the rain.
Reached home at 8++PM before mum's finally back home and of course DINNER IS HOME. ALL HAIL DINNER!!!I was so hungry la, so hungry till i can eat a whole horse!
Okay Dokey! It's 1.06AM now and i have to bathe and get ready to turn in for work later at 12PM. Right now my mum is ironing the clothing and when she's really sleepy, she can hold on to the clothing and stone right on the spot. How hilarious! And the iron dropped on the floor just now, i was right beside her. I HAD A SHOCK! I 'CHUA SAI-ED'! Alright, going to take a bath and then turn in. Working later at 12PM... See you around!

TODAY(SUN)
8.59PM, the time i woke up to prepare myself for work at 11PM. BUT i'm still late, reached BRUNCH at around 11.05PM. I think it has been a 'habit' for me to be late for work whenever my dad isn't around to chauffeur me to work. Yes i have been very reliant. And Yes i know you might be SCREAMING OUT LOUD, SPOILT BRAT! But usually mornings i'm very lazy and need some time to 'warm up' before i can be totally engrossed in work, that's what i told Frankie(Assistant Manager) cause he always calls me lao ren, meaning old person,which he's trying to imply that i'm extremely forgetful. Yes i am not afraid to admit that though. Haha.
Ohh yea, i set my eyes onto an eurasian guest when he walked in. I mean, i set my eyes onto his glasses/spectacles. Haha, what were you thinking! The glasses is metallic matt-finished, very modern sleek looking.
On the way to offer him a place to sit, we passed by this pair of butterflies/insects mating on the table. And i actually tried to SHOO it away. I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE MATING LA!
Me: "What was that? Sorry about it."
Him: "I think those were insects mating.(Laughs)"
Me: "Ohh... What an unusual scene...(Laughs with him)"
After a while i walked up to him, have a chat and said: "Wow! That's really an exquisite glasses you have! Where did you buy this from? How much was it?" He replied: "Yea, i bought it in Hong Kong and it costs around 2000+ Hong Kong dollars? That's like 200+ US dollars?"
My jaw dropped immediately but i didn't show it right in front of him. Must remain calm mah...
Me: "I rarely see this kinda of specs in Singapore, what brand is it?"
Him: "Oh, i think you can find it in Singapore. It's made in Germany, actually. The brand is, Icy Berden(that's how he pronouces it, but actual spelling might be incorrect)"
Me: "Now i must really find it..."
And so i continued the not-so-important conversation(my managers encourage having conversations with guests but do need to manage time)...
So dad fetched me home after work cause if i were to see the crowd at Cityhall MRT station, i would just literally go bonkers! IT SHOW and that's the major cause. Even when i'm waiting at Pan Pacific Hotel's taxi stand for my dad to arrive, there were unusally alot of cars entering into Pan Pac.
12.3oPM. That's the time i argued about the making of the passport. She insists me to renew the passport via Internet or by Post. But after looking at the requirements(Photo size of no more 60KB, dimensions of no larger than -- pixels by -- pixels), i was damn fedup and frustrated. And with the different pricing of sending by Post and Internet and making the passport on-the-spot(ICA Building), i was even more infuriated. So i was talking quite loudly as i'm already very fedup, and sad to say i've disturbed my neighbours' tranquility.
YESTERDAY(SAT)
The minute i woke up, checked my handphone and then i received a bad news. JERALDINE couldn't make it for the Genting trip cause her mum had alot of reasons to be worried of her. KL is chaotic and there's no older and reliable adult there, that's why her mum doesn't feel safe to let her travel. She's really super duper ultra infinity sorry, well that's what she said but i do understand why her mum doesn't allow her to travel without any reliable & older adult around. So hadn't have any choice but to cancel the trip. Initially was 6 members, 2 are her friends. Since JERALDINE couldn't go i doubt her friends will go too, so the remanining 3(me and 2 poly classmates) felt that it's kinda an odd number and not that fun if just a few of us go only.
Next time probably? Perhaps when JERALDINE turns 20? Haha.
This was the day that we were supposed to book the tickets for the trip and pay for the accommodations and stuff. So since this was called off, i met GUAN instead cause i wanted to go to the IT SHOW to get camera. He shun pian went to get his Mouse too for laptop usage. When i was there, there were throngs and throngs of non-stop action! People pushing, people squeezing, people rushing to get good deals and etc. What can i say... Typical Singaporeans!
The response was so extreme that, at the entrance of Suntec Convention Hall there's this electronic device standee displaying "Due to overwhelming response, please come back in an hour." But as you know, typical singaporeans still enter without giving 2 hoots about it. I think now you could understand how we felt inside, being packed like sardines, walking in slow-motion...
Finally managed to buy the camera. Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS. Usually it's retailing for 669 bucks but over at the booth they were selling at 599 bucks. So i think it's a relatively good price'deal with lots of free stuff(useful) being thrown into the package. Well that's my birthday gift from my parents though i have to pay 12.5% of the whole price, which is like 75 bucks. And of course my brother had a 'share' in it cause i know he would use it. So he paid the 12.5% too.
Alright one present down. And now i would definitely love to get this, a wallet. An AX wallet. It's perforated, perfect for any occasions and it's in my favourite all-time colour, WHITE. If i get that wallet, i'll be OVER THE MOON!
